Father's Day 2009 is on 21st June, Sunday

Father's Day is the festival to honor our fathers for everything they do for us through out their life. This day is celebrated on different dates in different countries around the world. Countries like US, UK, Canada, Chile, France, Japan and India celebrate this festival on the third Sunday of June month. This day was declared by the US President Richard Nixon in the year 1972.

In 2009 and 2010, the declared date to celebrate Father's Day is on June 21st and June 20th respectively. Although, the date of Father's Day celebration differs every year, yet the day remains same, ie, on third Sunday of June. This day is celebrated with the same enthusiasm in almost all the countries. People celebrate this festival to show their gratitude towards their dad for their love and care. Presenting Father's Day cards, roses, bouquets and other gifts of love are in trend these days.
